Author Phyllis Wilson, took time to share information with The Sistah Circle Book Club.

SCBC, Inc.

Where are you from?
Originally from El Paso, Texas however my dad was in the military so we traveled all over the world.

When and why did you begin writing?
About a year ago, I had written my first book “Top Ten Things to Consider ~ All in a Day’s Work” after being called the “N” word at work and it was such a healing experience that I knew there was more for me to say. So I collaborated and got 12 other women to share in the journey.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your life?
Most definitely, the authors in this anthology all shared something along their life's journey or "path"

Do you see writing as a long- or short-term career?
I see it as a long-term career because I have so much inside to share

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything?
Yes, I would take the lessons learned and be sure to apply them to the next project.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I want them to know that they are not alone in life’s situations...someone somewhere has been there, done that!

What makes you powerful as a person and a writer?
I have a sincere passion for all things true and good. I can convey those feelings creatively and thus find joy in writing and living

Where do you find your inspiration?
I find inspiration daily in the people I meet and talk to. Inspiration can even be found in just watching people.

A Legacy is something that is handed down from one period of time to another period of time. Finish this sentence- My writing offers the following legacy to future readers...
...know that you have a story inside of you that should be shared with someone else. I truly believe that this is a small world and you can make an impact on someone just by sharing YOUR story!
